1 Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using ZeroIn ("the app", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use ZeroIn.
ZeroIn is developed and published by Bartosz Wójcik ("Developer"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Developer.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

Key capabilities of ZeroIn include:

- Syncing, reading, writing, and organising email locally on your device
- Project-based email organisation with rule-based categorisation
- Contact management with Google Contacts synchronisation for Gmail accounts
- Security features: SPF/DMARC/DKIM validation, tracking pixel blocking, phishing quarantine
- Viewing calendar meeting invites embedded in email attachments (.ics files)
- Optional AES-256 local database encryption
3 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use ZeroIn. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement. ZeroIn is intended for individuals who hold an existing email account with a third-party provider.
If you are using ZeroIn on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4 Your email accounts
ZeroIn connects to email accounts that you own or have legitimate access to. You are solely responsible for:
- The security of your email provider credentials and OAuth tokens stored in ZeroIn
- Ensuring you have the right to access any email account you configure in ZeroIn
- Compliance with the terms of service of your email provider (e.g. Google, Microsoft)
- Any actions taken through your email accounts via ZeroIn (sending email, moving messages, etc.)
You can revoke ZeroIn's access to your Gmail account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and to your Microsoft account at account.live.com/consent/manage.
5 Permitted use
ZeroIn is licensed to you for personal and commercial use to manage email on your own device. You may:
- Install and use ZeroIn on any devices you own or control
- Use ZeroIn to manage email for personal, freelance, or business purposes
- Export your email data and contacts in supported formats (CSV, vCard, .eml)
- Configure ZeroIn's features including encryption, security settings, and sync options
6 Prohibited use
You may not use ZeroIn to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or any email that violates applicable anti-spam laws (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and the EU ePrivacy Directive)
- Send phishing messages, malware, or content designed to deceive recipients
- Access email accounts that you do not own or are not authorised to access
- Circumvent security features of ZeroIn or your email provider
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of ZeroIn except as permitted by applicable law
- Use ZeroIn in any way that violates local, national, or international law
- Attempt to extract or scrape data from ZeroIn's interface for purposes not related to managing your own email
7 Intellectual property
ZeroIn — including its source code, design, graphics, name, and documentation — is the intellectual property of Bartosz Wójcik. All rights reserved.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use ZeroIn on your devices for the purposes described in Section 5. No other rights are granted.
ZeroIn incorporates open-source software packages. Their respective licences are accessible within the app at Settings → About → Open-source licences.
Your email content and data remain yours. ZeroIn does not claim any ownership or licence over your email messages, contacts, or other personal data.
8 Payments & subscriptions
ZeroIn currently offers a free tier that provides full core functionality. No payment is required to download or use the current version of the app.
We intend to introduce a paid subscription tier in the future that unlocks additional features. When this is introduced:
- Pricing and features included in the paid tier will be clearly communicated before any payment is requested
- Subscriptions will be managed through the relevant app store (Google Play, Microsoft Store) or a payment provider we select
- Refund policies will follow the rules of the platform through which the subscription was purchased
- These Terms will be updated before a paid tier is activated, and you will be notified in the app
The free core functionality will continue to be available at no cost.
9 Privacy
Your use of ZeroIn is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how the app handles your data. The key points are:
- All email data is stored locally on your device — we have no server that receives your email
- We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage data
- Google API data is handled in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements
Please read the Privacy Policy in full for complete details.
10 Third-party services
ZeroIn connects to third-party email services on your behalf. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, not by these Terms:
- Google / Gmail: Google Terms of Service
- Microsoft / Outlook: Microsoft Services Agreement
- Other IMAP/SMTP providers: that provider's own terms apply
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party email services. If a third-party service changes its API or terms in a way that affects ZeroIn, we will endeavour to update the app accordingly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted connectivity.
11 Disclaimers
ZeroIn is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- ZeroIn will be error-free or uninterrupted
- All emails will be delivered, received, or synchronised without loss
- ZeroIn's security features will detect or prevent all phishing, malware, or tracking attempts
- ZeroIn will remain compatible with any particular email provider indefinitely
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of ZeroIn, including but not limited to:
- Loss of email data, contacts, or settings
- Unauthorised access to your email accounts through your device
- Failure of security features to detect a phishing or malware attack
- Loss of business, revenue, or profits arising from email disruption
- Actions taken by your email provider that affect ZeroIn's functionality
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damage, the Developer's liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
In any case, the Developer's total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for ZeroIn in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €50 (fifty euros), whichever is greater.
13 Termination
You may stop using ZeroIn at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored ZeroIn data from that device (subject to platform backup behaviour described in the Privacy Policy).
We reserve the right to discontinue ZeroIn or any feature of ZeroIn at any time with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will provide at least 60 days' notice via the app and our website where reasonably practicable.
Sections 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of these Terms survive termination.
14 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes — particularly anything that restricts your rights or imposes new obligations — we will provide prominent notice within the application before the change takes effect.
Your continued use of ZeroIn after the effective date of a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should uninstall ZeroIn.
Previous versions of these Terms are available on request at support@zeroin.email.
15 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland and applicable European Union law, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory protective provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally. For EU residents, online dispute resolution is available via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
